Messiah is the Lamb that was slain (1 Cor 5:7) to keep the death angel away: Worthy is the Lamb!
1 Cor 5:8 clearly writes to the Church: “Therefore let us keep the [Passover] Feast…” Going leaven-free for one week is also a metaphor for removing sin from our lives – according to the entire Chapter 5 of 1 Corinthians. 🙂
So, to summarize the dates:
• Passover begins just before sunset on the 14th of the First Month (April 5, 2012).
• That’s the time to have the Seder meal, including Unleavened Bread, since the 15h of Aviv starts at sunset and is the First Day of Unleavened Bread.
• Feast of Unleavened Bread (FULB) lasts 7 days: from sunset April 5 til April 12 at sunset.
• The last day is a High Shabbat.
Purge out from you the old leaven, that you may be a new mass, as you are unleavened. For our Passover is the Mashiyach, who was slain for us. Therefore let us celebrate the Festival, not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of wickedness and bitterness, but with the leaven of purity and sanctity. I wrote to you by letter, not to mingle with sexual sinners. But I say not, with the sexual sinners who are in the world… that you don’t mix, if anyone is called a brother and is a sexual sinner, or avaricious, or an idol-worshipper, or a charlatan, or a drunkard, or rapacious, with him who is such, not even to eat bread… and remove you the wickedness from among you.
